Tips for Ramadan: taking breaks
It’s important to look after yourself during Ramadan, so here are a few tips:
1. Take breaks
Riding and fasting can be tiring work. Make sure you stay safe and take breaks when you need them, and get enough sleep before you start the day.
2. Make sure to eat before you start to fast
Before the sun comes up, make sure to have a meal. It can be tempting to skip this, but this will set you up for the day and give you more energy.
3. Wearing breathable clothing
Fasting and riding may mean that your body is not fully hydrated, wearing ventilated, but safe clothing will decrease dehydration risk.
4. What to do if you start to feel unwell
While fasting, if you begin to feel unwell when riding – take a break and seek assistance needed. If you won’t be continuing to work, and are in a position to, please just let rider support know via our help centre.
